Oh, you know Lindsay, the book is more than 200 pages and my resume is about 13 pages, so you will definitively get more information by reading it .

But I’m trying to give my readers the 20% of the content that give 80% of the value, or rather the less-than-10% that give 50% of the value . But if you find the topic interesting, getting the book will give you more depth into the subject.

Yes you’re right, it is a common problem with “collection of rules” books : you can often write a chapter on each rule – because the book doesn’t get in depth in it. But one of the advantages is to learn some rules that are immediately relevant and that you can do quickly, like you said

You have performed a large task here, in that all 100 items are listed and briefly explained. An article could be written about any of the points brought up. Point #7, “Get Over It”, is useful for flying past setbacks that would normally waste time. Point #20, “Explode Out of the Blocks” is one that anyone can make use of from the following morning.

I have something of a problem with books like this. What I mean is that I’d like to add rules like:

Make sure you are pursuing the right goal.
Be polite.
Think from other’s point-of-view.
Slowing down can help you examine the process.
Efficiency is for machines, compassion is for people.
Don’t be a psychopath.

Stuff like that.
