Hello Olivier

I have recently started to read your blog and I must say that the challenge you took upon yourself is very impressive. Apart from that I enjoy the way you write about books. The book on which review I now comment has been standing in my bookshelf unread for years now, but after your review I will take it out and start reading it.
Your choice of books is interesting and includes some books I read before but many more I never had. I will use your review to decide whether they are worth reading or not.
As probably everyone I also have some books that 'can change your life'. Should you be interested in some titles, just send me an e-mail and I will be happy to send you a list and a short introduction.

Good luck with your project.

Regards,
Tony

Hello Armen,

Yes, you're absolutely right, most of people give out because they are not able to plan or just predict this delay, and it's really a shame. You have to understand that inertia exist if you want to build momentum ;)

That delay that exists between when we put out effort, and when we see results, is the ending factor for most ideas, as the individual putting out the effort doesn't feel that they can handle any more delay. It is vital to plan for this delay before starting a procedure, because it is not worth it to go through the first part of a process and then quit. Also, about those strategic moments, they provide intense thoughtfulness, as we tend to know that our choices at those times are vital for the continuation of what we are doing.

Hi Olivier

This reminds me somewhat of the ideological framework I work with when I am at work and not blogging..

I work with drug and alcohol users and the 'stages of change' model developed by Prochasaka and DiClemente underpins much of my work and how I approach it.

I like your site very much.. I only wish I could make time to read more.. I spent much of my late teens and 20s reading every type of self help book I could find.. the 'Oprah' type stuff really.. pop psychology.. anyway, ended up as a psychiatric nurse by way of photography and teaching! So I guess I am still searching for... something! LOL

Good luck with your blogging etc and your reading!
