Best Selling Books Are Often About Real Life Events

It’s that time of the year when spring is but a few weeks away and for most of us that can only mean one thing – time to tidy up.

A few days ago the sun was shining and lovely as it was, unfortunately this made our house show up all the layers of dust that had accumulated over the winter months. Because of this I decided that in my house spring had arrived early and it was definitely time to start the cleaning.

The day began with me full of plans to give the house a good old clean from top to bottom. The kitchen was first on the list and that took longer than anticipated, so already I was flagging. However I persevered and next on the list was clearing out the Utility room. This is one of the rooms where in our house we seem to shove everything and then just shut the door on it all. I hadn’t been working long when I stumbled across a load of Cheap Books that my mum had given to me. This set me off on a lovely trip down memory lane and that was the end of my cleaning for the day.

My mum was what you would call a book addict and was always at her best when she was reading. She didn’t really mind what she read it could be anything ranging from Fiction Books, romance books and she even owned a few Cook Books. I’m not sure why she had the cook books, because she never really seemed to be adventurous with her cooking. Perhaps she just enjoyed looking at all the pictures!

It was funny but I can remember a holiday we went on to Lanzarote. In my cases I had packed all the usual holiday necessities, sun tan lotion, swimming costumes and beach towels. I was flabbergasted because when mum unpacked her case it was full up with loads of books. Without a lie I think she had nearly a dozen with her. We were only booked for a 2 week holiday, so I thought it was a bit excessive. Saying all that though, she definitely had the last laugh as whilst she was sunbathing and enjoying reading her books, she got the most fantastic suntan.

Well my spring cleaning didn’t really go as well as I had hoped, but you know what it’s like sometimes you get sidetracked and I must admit when there is cleaning involved, any excuse to stop is always welcome.
