There are so many sites out there that are simply just not up to scratch and need a bit of a mess around with before they are capable of actually keeping up with their competitors which is of course where web design come into it all.

Flashy?

If your site is mainly made up for flash then this is a sure sign that you are in a big need of an update. The thing is, flash was in fashion when it first came to be and nowadays people just aren’t interested in looking at flash when they are looking to buy something from a site. Why is this? Well the main reason is that it just takes such a long period of time to load up and people are just not willing to wait for this to happen.

Broken Links?

If you have many broken links across the site it is going to be very hard for people to actually navigate to the pages that they need to go through. If this is a problem for someone looking to come into the site then you know the first thing that they are going to be doing dont you? The will look at the site and leave and just go elsewhere.

This will bring me onto the final point I have very nicely.

Navigation

If you have a site that just doesn’t make sense then you need to sort it because you will be losing potential customers from it. Well the main reason is that there are so many competitors out there that it is so easy for someone to just drop off and go elsewhere.
